In keeping with my policy of bringing you the best of the best, my guests will be #MikeElizalde & #ChrisPhilpott.
Mike not only wowed them at The Castle and elsewhere, he was also featured on the cover of Genii. Apart from Magic, he is The President/Artistic Director of Spectral Motion, Inc. The long list of credits includes "HellBoy". We will among other topics be conversing about the cross-over of Special effects as pertaining to the performance of Magic. Mike was also the Secretary at Academy of Magical Arts (aka The Magic Castle).
Joining him will be Chris Philpott, Director and Script Writer extraordinaire. He & Mike have been friends for a long time and Chris was Mike's collaborator, Consultant and Script Writer for the much lauded Act at The Castle. I will be taking this opportunity to converse with Chris about Scripting and its many nuances.
This will be a noteworthy Darkstone Dossiers in an entirely new genre. The visual is part of Mike's creations. We will be conversing about it and other Objet d'art he possesses including busts shown in the visual of well-known Past Masters that are at The Castle.

A Lecture
It was April 2000.
Sue and I had married the month previously.
I was honored to be doing a lecture for the Vancouver Magic Circle (VMC) which is a Ring of The International Brotherhood of Magicians. The President then, was Gary Savard, who apparently still has my lecture notes! (pictured) In fact, this is the photo of it, which he posted awhile ago. Thanks for that, Gary! Pictured as well is the cover of the April 2000 edition of the VMC's newsletter, The Magical Minutes, with yours truly on the cover. Thank-you Vancouver Magic Circle!

The Centennial
Feb. 10th 2022 is the Centennial of the formation of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Len Vintus (Mel McMullen) of Winnipeg, was co-founder, and carried membership #1 all of his life. Mel edited the Linking Ring magazine at the Union Bank building. On June 6th 1986, a committee held a celebration to commemorate this with a plaque mounted on the building. World famous Magician Doug Henning attended, and joined Mel in the unveiling of the plaque.
